What happens after divorce in Puerto Rico?
🏛️ Once a divorce decree is issued in Puerto Rico, the court must send it to the Demographic Registry for official registration.
⚠️ However, in some cases this does not happen.
If the divorce was not recorded in the Demographic Registry, it will be necessary to obtain a certified copy of the judgment. This entails an additional cost.
If you do not remember the details of the divorce
🗓️ Don't rush. In most cases, we can locate the records with the information you provide when placing your order.
