What happens after divorce in Puerto Rico?
🏛️ Once a divorce decree is issued in Puerto Rico, the court must send it to the Demographic Registry for official registration.
⚠️ However, in some cases this does not happen. If the divorce was not registered in the Demographic Registry, it will be necessary to obtain a certified copy of the judgment. This entails an additional cost.
