What is an apostille?
The apostille certifies documents for use outside Puerto Rico and the US.
It is issued by the Puerto Rico Department of State.
It is also known as the "Hague Apostille".

✅ Diplomas and transcripts
✅ Court rulings: certified copies (with seals)
✅ Private documents signed before notaries in Puerto Rico: e.g., affidavits, deeds, etc.
⚠️ *In order to apostille the certificates, they must be in the new format.
- The birth, marriage, or death certificate must have been issued after July 2010.
- The following colors are for reference: birth in blue, marriage in green, and death in red.
🛑 We do not apostille documents issued by other jurisdictions (for example, issued outside of Puerto Rico).
How to order?
Option A: If you do not have the document to apostille ✨ the most common ✨
If you need any of the certificates listed above, add them to this order: we will obtain and apostille them for you.
Option B: If you already have the document ready for apostille
- If it is a certificate from the Puerto Rico Demographic Registry, confirm that it is in the new format.
- On this same page, add the apostille to your cart (remember: one apostille for each original document).
- Once you have made the payment, the mailing address to send us the original document will be displayed on the screen.

If you already have a certificate from the Demographic Registry in the new format and would prefer to keep the original, you can add the processing of a new certificate for apostille to your purchase. This will save you the time and cost of mailing us the document you already have in your possession.
