Who can apply?

This certificate can be requested under either of these two options:

✅ Licensed in Puerto Rico: a person with a valid or expired driver's license or ID card issued by the DTOP ( Department of Transportation and Public Works). 

✅ Without a Puerto Rico license: a person who has never had a Puerto Rico driver's license or identification card, but is a U.S. citizen. In this case, you must also provide your Social Security number at the time of payment.

What does the certificate include?

  • Judgments issued by Puerto Rico courts.
  • Does not include expunged cases or pardons.
